Strawberries are a beloved fruit known for their sweet, juicy flavor and vibrant red color.
Strawberries thrive in USDA Hardiness Zones 3-10. Place in fridge for 30 days before germinating for highest germination rates. To accelerate germination, put them into warm water and stir them, then soak them for 2-3 hours, take them out, rinse with clean water and cover them with wet gauze or paper towel, keep the temperature between 20-25°C (68-77°F), When 60%-70% of the seeds turn white, Gently press seed into surface of the soil, spray some water, then cover a little soil and spray again. Do not water directly to avoid washing away the seeds; if you do not have a sprayer, you can also soak half of the pot in water until the top soil is moist. Ensure the planting area receives full sun for at least 6-8 hours per day.Keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot. Apply a layer of organic mulch, such as straw or pine needles, around the strawberry plants to help retain moisture, suppress weeds, and protect the developing fruits. Once the seedlings are 3-4 inches tall and have developed a few leaves, you can transplant them to their final growing location. Space the transplants at least 12-18 inches apart in rows.
